Swing Sets: Benny, Basie and Beyond!

Lannie sets the stage and fronts the band in glamorous, 1940’s style.

Lannie Sings and The Band Swings!

This joyous, jumpin’ show is an homage to the SWINGING sounds of Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington and all the jazz SWING greats……WHEN SWING WAS KING. Lannie is backed by a stellar band of swing musicians, featuring virtuoso, Roger Campbell on clarinet. (ala Benny Goodman) In this show, Lannie sings songs by some of the finest swing and jazz artists in history.

Swing music reached its peak between 1935 and 1946, this is known as the SWING ERA. Swing is used to describe the rhythmic feel or groove created by musical interaction between musicians and performers.  It’s foot-tapping, head-nodding music with a freedom that makes you want to move!
